Notre Dame Market

Notre Dame Market

Notre Dame Market is located in the heart of the Notre-Dame district. It was created more than 300 years ago by Louis XIV.

It is a very frequented place of Versaillais and tourists. Its former pavilions were destroyed in 1841, because they were judged insalubrious, and replaced by the current covered markets, rebuilt by Le Poittevin.

There is an abundance of fresh produce from all over the region, while cafés and terraced restaurants all round the square.
